About Founding Member

September 2026

Health Mirror is finally out in the world.

For months, it mostly lived on my own collection of test phones and simulators. Then, rather suddenly, other people could download it.

It doesn't require a paid membership. That was a deliberate choice.

Every reflection remains complete. I didn't want the essential experience to stop halfway and ask for a subscription before revealing the rest.

Membership expands the experience—keeping more of your journey and seeing all the observations included with each reflection.

Those are useful things to have, but they aren't really why I called it Founding Member.

Showing up at the beginning

Launching a product is a peculiar moment.

After months of making decisions about what something should be, you finally put it into other people's hands and discover what it actually becomes.

The first people who arrive are part of that transition.

I wanted that to mean something.

They try things I didn't expect. They ask questions I hadn't considered. They tell me what makes sense, what doesn't, and sometimes find value in places I wasn't looking.

Some simply decide that this strange little project is interesting enough to support while it's still defining its path.

I wanted Health Mirror to recognize those people.

So Founding Membership is available only during this founding chapter.

Their Founding Member price remains their price even after Health Mirror moves beyond its founding chapter, as long as their membership remains active.

It is a small promise:

This is a beginning we share.

A little piece of the beginning

I don't know exactly where Health Mirror will go from here.

That's part of the fun.

There are things I want to explore, things I suspect will change, and almost certainly things I haven't thought of yet.

What I do know is that the people using Health Mirror now are meeting it at a moment that will pass.

If Health Mirror goes somewhere interesting from here, I like the idea that the people who showed up at the beginning get to carry a little piece of that beginning with them.

That's what Founding Member means to me.
